AN ORDINANCE APPROPRIATING $33, 120.00 FROM THE EQUAL EMPLOYMENT
OPPORTUNITY COMMISSION FOR THE PURPOSE OF DEFRAYING THE
EXPENSES OF THE SOUTH BEND HUMAN RIGHTS COMMISSION OF THE CITY
OF SOUTH BEND, INDIANA FOR THE YEAR BEGINNING OCTOBER 1, 1987
AND ENDING SEPTEMBER 30, 1988.
Statement of Purpose and Intent :
To process employment discrimination complaints arising within
the South Bend Human Rights Commission' s jurisdiction and augment our
Equal Employment Opportunity enforcement efforts by engaging in
outreach, education, training and technical assistance.
NOW, THEREFORE, be it ordained by the Common Council of the
City of South Bend, Indiana as follows:
Section I . The sum of $33, 120. 00 is hereby appropriated for
the year starting October 1, 1987 from EEOC, to be administered by
the Human Rights Commission and distributed as set forth below:

The South Bend Human Rights Commission is requesting the approval of
the attached ordinance appropriation to defray the expenses of
administrative cost incurred for the period of October 1, 1987
through September 30, 1988 from the work sharing federal contract
with the Equal Employment Opportunity Commission.
The dollar amount from the Equal Employment Opportunity Commission
contract is $33, 120.
