AN ORDINANCE APPROPRIATING $86,200.00 FROM
THE CUMULATIVE SEWER BUILDING AND SINKING
FUND TO PROJECT CS831, TWYCKENHAM STORM SEWER,
WITHIN THE CUMULATIVE SEWER BUILDING AND SINKING
FUND
STATEMENT OF PURPOSE AND INTENT:
In the best interest of public health and safety it is necessary
to design storm sewer separation from Twyckenham to the St. Joseph River.
Funds are now needed for the design of this improvement. These funds are
available from the Cumulative Sewer Building and Sinking Fund.
NOW THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COMMON COUNCIL
OF THE CITY OF SOUTH BEND, INDIANA.
Section I: The following sum of money is hereby appropriated
and ordered set apart from the Cumulative Sewer Building and Sinking
Fund for the project in the amount set forth below:

Section II: This ordinance shall be in full force and
effect from and after its passage by the Common Council and
approval by the Mayor.

Dear Councilmen:
As discussed earlier it has been determined that the best way to
handle the storm water from the Twyckenham Drive widening
project is through a storm sewer along Corby Street.
Cole Associates will be retained to design these improvements.
This ordinance appropriates the funds for that contract.
