SPECIAL EVENTS COMMITTEE MEETING MINUTES
December 15, 2020, 10:00 AM
731 S. Lafayette Blvd, South Bend, IN 46601
Members present: Brad Rohrscheib, Gerard Ellis, Toy Villa, Darwin Shipley
1. Call to Order
The meeting was called to order at 10:05 AM by President Rohrscheib.
2. Approval of minutes
Upon a motion by Rohrscheib and seconded by Villa the minutes from the previous
meeting November 17th was approved unanimously
3. Approval of Special Event Permits
a. Trax Music Bash – 09/18/2021
Moved locations to Ignition Park at Sample/Lafayette. Committee would like to see a
map of a new layout of event as well as an actual copy of the city
agreement/permission to use land. Once again, parking was an issue of topic. Event
coordinator wanting to use downtown parking, committee suggested asking close by
businesses to access their lots (Press Ganey, Catalyst Building 1 & 2, etc.) Suggested
“no parking” along both sides of Franklin St. and closure of Ignition. It was
mentioned that the event coordinator should notify surrounding businesses that the
event is happening (after event sponsor left the call). Will revisit at the next meeting.
Upon a motion by Rohrscheib and seconded by Shipley the permit was tabled unanimously

2. Adjournment
With no additional business, Rohrscheib motioned for adjournment and Villa
seconded. The meeting ended at 10:30 AM.
