ORDINANCE NO. 7871-88
AN ORDINANCE APPROPRIATING $72,750.00 FROM
THE LOCAL ROAD AND STREET FUND TO PROJECT
R&S 8706, EDISON WIDENING, FROM CRESTWOOD
TO HICKORY WITHIN THE LOCAL ROAD AND STREET
FUND
STATEMENT OF PURPOSE AND INTENT:
In order to meet existing and proposed traffic demands and to
provide for safe and efficient movement of vehicles, certain
improvements are needed for Edison Road, within the City of South
Bend.
Additional funds are now needed for the City's share of the
cost of construction for these improvements. The funds are available
from the Local Road and Street Fund.
NOW THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COMMON COUNCIL
OF THE CITY OF SOUTH BEND, INDIANA AS FOLLOWS:
Section I : The following sum of money is hereby appropriated
and ordered set apart from the Local Road and Street Fund for the
project in the amount set forth below:

8706 Edison Road Widening
Crestwood to Hickory $ 72,750. 00
Total Project $ 72,750. 00
Section II: This ordinance shall be in full force and
effect from and after its passage by the Common Council and
approval by the Mayor.

Members of the Common Council:
The attached is a proposed ordinance requesting an appropriation
of $ 72,750. 00 from the Local Road and Street Fund for Project
R&S 8706, Edison Road Widening from Crestwood to Hickory, within
the Local Road and Street Fund. Additional monies are now
needed to pay the City's share of the cost of construction. The
balance in the Local Road and Street Fund after this
appropriation is $386,277.39.
Your favorable consideration is requested on this proposed
ordinance. Should you have any questions regarding this
