ORDINANCE NO. 7869-88
AN ORDINANCE APPROPRIATING $6,712.86 FROM
THE LOCAL ROAD AND STREET FUND TO PROJECT
R&S 8701, TRAFFIC SIGNAL BENDIX DR. AND
SUGAR MAPLE LANE, WITHIN THE LOCAL ROAD
AND STREET FUND
STATEMENT OF PURPOSE AND INTENT:
In order to meet existing and proposed traffic demands and to
provide for safe and efficient movement of vehicles, certain
improvements were necessary at the intersection of Bendix Drive and
Sugar Maple Lane within the City of South Bend.
NOW THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COMMON COUNCIL
OF THE CITY OF SOUTH BEND, INDIANA AS FOLLOWS:
Additional funds are now needed to pay for the cost of
construction of this project. These funds are necessary in order to
close out this project. The funds are available from the Local Road
and Street Fund.
Section I: The following sum of money is hereby appropriated
and ordered set apart from the Local Road and Street Fund for the
project in the amount set forth below:

Section II : This ordinance shall be in full force and
effect from and after its passage by the Common Council and
approval by the Mayor.

Dear Councilmen:
The attached is a proposed ordinance requesting an appropriation
of $6,712.86 from the Local Road and Street Fund to be used for
Project R&S 8701, construction of a traffic signal at the
intersection of Bendix Drive and Sugar Maple Lane. Additional
monies are needed due to the cost of construction of this
project. The balance in the Local Road and Street Fund after
this appropriation is $869,285.13.
Your favorable consideration is requested on this proposed
