AN ORDINANCE TRANSFERRING $7,996.32 FROM THE
PARK DISTRICT CONSTRUCTION FUND TO THE PARK DISTRICT
BOND REDEMPTION FUND TO BE ADMINISTERED BY THE
DEPARTMENT OF PUBLIC PARKS
STATEMENT OF PURPOSE AND INTENT:
THE DEPARTMENT OF PUBLIC PARKS has completed all the projects
funded by the $3,500,000.00 1982 Park Bond Issue and surplus bond
proceeds in the amount of $7,996.32 exist in the Park District
Construction Fund, this surplus is now needed to be transferred
to the Bond Redemption Fund.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COMMON COUNCIL OF THE
CITY OF SOUTH BEND, INDIANA, AS FOLLOWS:
SECTION I. The sum of $7,996.32 is hereby transferred from
the Park District Construction Fund to the Bond Redemption Fund to
help pay for the interest and principal costs of Park Bond Issues.
This transfer is to be administered by the Department of Public Parks
as set forth below:

SECTION II. This Ordinance shall be in full force and effect from
and after its passage by the Common Council and approval by the Mayor.

Dear Members of the Common Council :
The Department of Public Parks is requesting that Seven Thousand
Nine Hundred and Ninety Six Dollars and Thirty Two Cents ($7,996.32)
be transferred from the Park District Construction Fund to the Park
District Bond Redemption Fund.
All the projects in the Three Million Five Hundred Thousand
($3,500,000.00) 1982 Park Bond issue are completed and a surplus
now exists.
With the near completion of the Hydro-Electric Plant, the State of
Indiana has released the remainder of funds withheld for the East
Race Project.
Your approval of this Ordinance is needed for the proper and efficient
operation of the Department of Public Parks.
