Roll Call: Antonious Northern, Bilijah Williams, Cheryl Ashe, Daniel Parker, Denise Riedl, Jeff Rea, Kara Boyles, Kareemah Fowler, Karen White, Larry King, Michael Patton, Michael Schmidt, Murray Miller, Bob Palmer, Rachel Tomas Morgan, Takesha McClane, Tim Scott, Aladean DeRose, Sharon McBride, Janet Eveyln, Breanna Allen II. New Appointments (Takesha McClane) a. Rachel Tomas Morgan- New appointment of council-Welcome, we are thankful for having you on the board III. New Hires (Michael Patton) a. Welcomed Rachel b. Antonious Northern, Inclusion Project Manager, Larry King, Contract Compliance Administrator. c. Larry King as a consultant, his experience and relationships in the community will be a good asset to the team d. Antonious Northern-previously worked in Community Investment, working on Love Your Block grant. Excited to be on the team. e. Software Compliance Software: conducting research on the software needed to effectively create a fair and equitable process for procurement i. Prism ii. G2Now f. Currently in final stages on determining the software that will be used i. Anticipated decision to be given first of next week. IV. Disparity Study a. Currently reviewing the information that has been received b. Legal will need to complete an analysis prior to sharing out. c. Anticipated to give an update next meeting (May) V. Old Business a. DFO-Anticipated to go live April 1st, due to COVID-19 it has been postponed to May 1st launch. b. Prism or G2Now will be stand alone, however there are aspects that can be integrated into DFO. VI. New Business a. New Appointments still available i. Hispanic Chamber of Commerce b. Board of Public Works i. Still receiving bids and reviewing contracts, accepting electronically now. ii. Goals are not being set at this time 1. Still asking for contractors to put forth a “good faith” effort iii. Michael Patton has been receiving contracts from BPW and approving contracts. There is much engagement between Diversity and Inclusion and Board of Public Works c. Cares Act i. Michael Patton has received information from SBA (Small Business Association) ii. Awaiting further guidance from the mayor on how to proceed with access to Cares Act d. Board Expectations during this time i. Suggest to still have meetings scheduled monthly, however depending on business to be discussed, meetings may be postponed ii. Board members can continue to bring suggestions to Michael Patton, each board member has an area of expertise and wisdom to share.
