Mayor has signed off to contact members for swearing in.
Graham Sparks, working to get everyone sworn in.
New Business:
Department Update: Mr. Michael Patton
• Virtual Neighborhood Business Labs
• Pre-recordings to share out via media outlets
• Various topics will be discussed roughly 30 minutes
o Every Wednesday taping content
o Every Monday will be showcased on Facebook.
• CBDG Grant-On-going grant dollars allocated through COVID-19
o $900,000 in full allocation to the city ($600,00-first disbursement), ($300,000-
second disbursement)
• Meeting minutes and recordings storage location
o Remind community members where they are located
Bidding Updates from the City-Kara Boyles
• 2 additional bids open and awarded over the last 30 days
o Colfax Lift Station Improvements Bid $459,000
3 MWBE stated in good efforts
13% good faith effort on the bid
o 2020 Community Crossings-$ Bid 1.7 million
50/50 matching grant (50% will come from the state)
Almost 4% MWBE utilization (trucking & electrical work)
o State process for public advertisement of the bids
Posted in 3 different newspapers
Link on cities’ website that will take community members to the vendor
who provides documents to bid.
Bid process is in the code, which includes: advertise at least twice, at
least 7 days apart, 10 days in advance of opening of the bids. Mention
there is a pre-bid meeting (hosted virtually) to discuss the project.

• How does the board support Diversity Office/ Role of Board?
o Answer: Suggestive type board, ordinance outlines the role of the board
• Board training, soon to come, meeting and training
• Virtual Training being schedule, email Takesha the best day/time to hold virtual training
o Date for virtual training, Tuesday, Aug. 18th 5pm-6pm
