AN ORDINANCE APPROPRIATING $305, 000. 00 FROM
THE LOCAL ROAD AND STREET FUND TO PROJECT
R&S 8901, WIDENING AND LIGHTING OF CLEVELAND
AND BRICK, WITHIN THE LOCAL ROAD AND STREET FUND
STATEMENT OF PURPOSE AND INTENT:
In order to meet existing and proposed traffic demands and to
provide for safe and efficient movement of vehicles, certain
improvements are necessary at the intersection of Cleveland and Brick
Roads within the City of South Bend.
Funds are now needed to pay for the cost of construction of
this project. These funds are available from the Local Road and
Street Fund.
NOW THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COMMON COUNCIL
OF THE CITY OF SOUTH BEND, INDIANA AS FOLLOWS:
Section I: The following sum of money is hereby appropriated
and ordered set apart from the Local Road and Street Fund for the
project in the amount set forth below:

Total Project $305, 000. 00
Section II: This ordinance shall be in full force and
effect from and after its passage by the Common Council and
approval by the Mayor.

The attached is a proposed ordinance requesting an appropriation
of $305,000. 00 from the Local Road and Street Fund to be used
for project 8901, Widening and Lighting of Cleveland and Brick
Roads. The unobligated balance in the Local Road and Street
Fund after this appropriation is $682,513 .81.
Your favorable consideration of this proposed ordinance is
