AN ORDINANCE APPROPRIATING $50,000.00
FROM THE U.S. DEPARTMENT OF HOUSING AND URBAN
DEVELOPMENT'S SECRETARY'S DISCRETIONARY
FUND FOR THE PURPOSE OF ASSISTING IN THE
EXPANSION OF THE LA SALLE PARK DISTRICT COUNCIL
CHILD CARE FACILITY.
STATEMENT OF PURPOSE AND INTENT:
In order to assure the efficient and timely utilization of the
Secretary's Discretionary Fund and that the immediate needs of a specific
activity are met, this appropriation is necessary.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED by the Common Council of the City of
South Bend, Indiana:
SECTION I. The sum of $50,000.00 is hereby appropriated from the U.S.
Department of Housing & Urban Development Secretary's Discretionary Fund as set
forth below:
Purpose Amount
LaSalle Park District Council $50,000.00
Child Care Facility Expansion (SDF1 )
SECTION II. No costs will be incurred or funds expended for any
activities in this ordinance prior to an official release of funds received
from the United States Department of Housing and Urban Development as may be
required.
SECTION III. This ordinance shall be in full force and effect from
and after its passage by the Common Council and approval by the Mayor.

Dear Council Member:
The attached bill for your consideration and approval will appropriate
$50,000.00 from the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development's
Secretary's Discretionary Fund. The appropriation will accomplish the
expansion of the LaSalle Park District Council Child Care Facility. This
facility is located at 323 S. Bendix.
