ORDINANCE NO. 30.3A - 9
AN ORDINANCE INCREASING APPROPRIATIONS AND REDUCING
APPROPRIATIONS WITHIN THE VARIOUS ACCOUNTS OF THE LOCAL
ROADS AND STREETS FUND
STATEMENT OF PURPOSE AND INTENT:
In order to close completed projects, meet existing and
proposed traffic demands and to provide for safe and efficient
movement of vehicles, certain improvements are needed within the City
of South Bend, Indiana. Funds are now needed for the traffic signal
at the corner intersection of Bendix and Sugar Maple along with funds
for various Railroad improvements. These funds are available from
the Local Roads and Streets Fund.
NOW THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COMMON COUNCIL
OF THE CITY OF SOUTH BEND, INDIANA AS FOLLOWS:
Section I: The following sum of money is hereby appropriated
and ordered set apart from the Local Roads and Streets Fund for the
projects in the amount set forth below:

0071 Logan Street Engineering $19, 371.91
8205 Edison Road Improvements 4, 056.43
8601 Jackson, Miami to Ewing Signal 4,829. 00
Total decrease $28,257. 34
Increase the following accounts:
8701 Traffic Signal Bendix & Sugar Maple $ 3, 027.72
8902 Railroad Improvements 23,407. 62
8803 Various Road Improvements 1,822. 00
Total increase $28,257.34
Section II: This ordinance shall be in full force and
effect from and after its passage by the Common Council and
approval by the Mayor.

Dear Councilmen:
The attached is a proposed ordinance requesting an increase and
reducing appropriations in the local roads and streets fund.
The primary purpose of this appropriation is to close out
completed projects and appropriate necessary funds to the
railroad improvements account and the traffic signal Bendix and
Sugar Maple account. The total increased appropriation is
$28,257.34 and the total reduction is $28,257.34.
Your favorable consideration of this proposed ordinance is
