AN ORDINANCE APPROPRIATING $8,968.00 FOR
EMERGENCY ROOF REPAIRS AND $2,027.00 FOR REPAIR OF
THE LIGHTED SIGN OF THE MORRIS CIVIC AUDITORIUM
FROM THE MORRIS CIVIC AUDITORIUM IMPROVEMENT FUND
STATEMENT OF PURPOSE AND INTENT:
The Morris Civic Auditorium is owned by the City of South
Bend and is managed under the control of the Century Center Board of
Managers.
The Century Center Board of Managers has determined that it
is in the best public interest to repair on an emergency basis a roof
leak and to repair the lighted sign on the facade of the Morris Civic
Auditorium.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COMMON COUNCIL OF THE
CITY OF SOUTH BEND, INDIANA, AS FOLLOWS:
SECTION I. The amount of $10,995.00 is hereby appropriated
and ordered set apart out of the Morris Civic Auditorium Improvement
Fund for the repair of the following:
(a) Repair services and installation of
roofing materials to alleviate a leaking
portion of the roof of the Morris Civic
Auditorium $8,968.00
(b) Repair of the neon sign on the facade
of the Morris Civic Auditorium $2,027.00
Total $10,995.00
SECTION II. This ordinance shall be in full force and
effect from and after its passage by the Common Council and approval
by the Mayor.

Subj : Appropriation from Morris Civic Improvement: Fund
It is requested that council approval be;given to appropriate $10,992.00 from
the Morris Civic Auditorium Fund as outlined in the ordinance request approved
by the Century Center Board of Managers. These funds are to make permanent repairs
to areas of the roof at the Auditorium and repair and replace the neon sign on
the facade which spells MORRIS CIVIC AUDITORIUM.
