ORDINANCE NO. 006
AN ORDINANCE APPROPRIATING $125 ,000 . 00 FROM
THE LOCAL ROAD AND STREET FUND TO PROJECT
R&S 8905 , VARIOUS ROAD IMPROVEMENTS, WITHIN
THE LOCAL ROAD AND STREET FUND
STATEMENT OF PURPOSE AND INTENT:
In order to meet existing and prosed traffic demands and to
provide for safe and efficient movement of vehicles , certain
improvements are needed within the City of South Bend, Indiana.
Funds are now needed for the design and construction of signals and
road improvements , including road widening. These funds are
available from the Local Road and Street Fund.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COMMON COUNCIL OF THE
CITY OF SOUTH BEND, INDIANA AS FOLLOWS :
Section I . The following sum of money is hereby appro-
priated and ordered set apart from the Local Road and Street Fund
for the project in the amount set forth below:

R&S 8905 Various Road Improvements $125,000 . 00
Section II : This ordinance shall be in full force and
effect from and after its passage by the Common Council and
approval by the Mayor.

The attached ordinance appropriates $125 ,000 . 00 from the
Local Road and Street Account to Project R&S 8905 . This
project will entail the design and/or construction of the
following projects :
Design:
1 . Widening of Edison Rd. from S .R. 23 to Ironwood
2 . Widening of Ironwood, south of Ewing
3 . Signals and realignment of the Twyckenham
and Jefferson Intersection
Construction:
1. Scarification of Chippewa, from Main to Fellows St .
