AN ORDINANCE APPROPRIATING $42,000.00 RECEIVED FROM THE U.S. DEPARTMENT OF HOUSING AND URBAN DEVELOPMENT, EMERGENCY SHELTER GRANT PROGRAM STATEMENT OF PURPOSE AND INTENT: In order to deliver services to homeless individuals within our community, the City of South Bend received funds from the United States Department of Housing and Urban Development for the delivery of such services. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED by the Common Council of the City of South Bend, Indiana: Section I . The sum of $42, 000.00 is hereby appropriated and allocated among accounts as set forth below: PROJECT NO. The following is the recommended allocations of the funds: Agency Amount Service Provided to the Homeless Youth Services Bureau $14,282.00 Operates shelter for runaway youth. Ko-Op 65 11,750 .00 Operates food service and procurement acti- vities at the Shelter for the Homeless. Hope Rescue Mission 4,201.00 Operates shelter and support services for homeless individuals and families.
