2008 South Bend Common Council
The May 12, 2008 Executive Session of the South Bend Common Council was
called to order by Council President Timothy A. Rouse at 3:00 p.m. in the
Council's Informal Meeting Room.
Persons in attendance included Council Members David Varner, Timothy A.
Rouse, Derek D. Dieter, Henry Davis, Jr., Thomas LaFountain, Oliver J. Daivs
and Ann Puzzello; Mayor Stephen J. Luecke, City Controller M. Catherine
Fanello, Board of Safety Member Juanita Dempsey, Police Division Chief Jeff
Walters, Charles Leone, Board of Public Safety's Agent; Board of Public Safety
Attorney Thomas Bodnar, and Kathleen Cekanski-Farrand, Council's Agent.
Council President Rouse noted that the Executive Session was called pursuant
to the May 8, 2008 Notice of Executive Session (copy attached) for the purpose
of discussing strategy with regard to collective bargaining relative to public safety
employees. He noted that the meeting was called pursuant to Indiana Code 5-
14-1.5-6.1 (b)(2)(A).
This is to certify that the only subject matter discussed at this Executive Session
was that contained in the May 8, 2008 "Notice of Executive Session".
Council President Rouse adjourned the Executive Session at 3:30 p.m.
