AN ORDINANCE APPROPRIATING $65,000. 00 FROM THE MORRIS CIVIC
AUDITORIUM IMPROVEMENT FUND FOR THE PURPOSE OF PURCHASING
ADMINISTRATIVE EQUIPMENT AND SPOTLIGHTS AT THE MORRIS CIVIC
AUDITORIUM
STATEMENT OF PURPOSE AND INTENT:
WHEREAS, the Morris Civic Auditorium is owned by the City
of South Bend and is managed under the control of the Century
Center Board of Managers.
The Century Center Board of Managers has determined that
it is in the best public interest to purchase a Box Office and
Administrative Computer, along with Spotlights for the stage area.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COMMON COUNCIL OF
THE CITY OF SOUTH BEND, INDIANA, AS FOLLOWS:
SECTION I:
The amount of $65,000.00 is herby appropriated and ordered
set apart out of the Morris Civic Auditorium Improvement Fund for
the purchase and installation of the following:
a. Box Office and Administration
Computer $45,000.00
b. Spotlights 20,000.00
TOTAL $65,000. 00
SECTION II.
This Ordinance shall be in full force and effect from and
after its passage by the Common Council and Approval by the Mayor.

REQUEST FOR APPROVAL OF ORDINANCE
It is requested that you consider and give favorable approval to the ordinance
appropriating the following funds from the.Morris Civic Auditorium Improvement'
Fund. The working balance of the Fund is far in excess of this appropriation.
Item #1. . . . $ 45,000 for the acquisition of a computer system for the
box office and administrative offices.
Item #2. . . . $ 20,000 for the acquisition of new follow-spots for the
theatre.
If there are any questions regarding either Item, I will be available at 284-9198.
