AN ORDINANCE APPROPRIATING $11, 250.00 FROM THE U.S. DEPARTMENT
OF HOUSING AND URBAN DEVELOPMENT FOR THE PURPOSE OF DEFRAYING THE
EXPENSES OF THE SOUTH BEND HUMAN RIGHTS COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF
SOUTH BEND, INDIANA FOR THE YEAR BEGINNING SEPTEMBER 22, 1989 AND
ENDING SEPTEMBER 21, 1990 .
Statement of Purpose and Intent
In order to process housing discrimination complaints arising
within the South Bend Human Rights Commission jurisdiction and
augment our fair housing enforcement efforts by engaging in
outreach, education, training and technical assistance, it is
necessary to appropriate funds received from the U.S. Department of
Housing and Urban Development.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED by the Common Council of the
City of South Bend, Indiana as follows:
Section I .
The sum of $11,250.00 is hereby appropriated for the year
starting September 22, 1989 from HUD, to be administered by the
Human Rights Commission and distributed as set forth below:

Section II .
This ordinance shall be in full force and effect from and after

Attached is an ordinance appropriating $11,250 from the U.S.
Department of Housing and Urban Development for the purpose of
defraying the expenses of the South Bend Human Rights Commission
for the year beginning September 22, 1989 to September 21, 1990 .
