STATEMENT OF PURPOSE AND INTENT The purpose of this Ordinance is to make technical corrections to Ordinance No. 7997-89 fixing the maximum salaries and wages of appointed officers and non-bargaining employees of the City of South Bend, Indiana for the calendar years of 1990, 1991 and 1992. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COMMON COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SOUTH BEND, INDIANA, AS FOLLOWS: SECTION I . Ordinance No. 7997-89 is amended in its entirety as follows: SECTION I. SCOPE OF COVERAGE. This ordinance shall determine all issues of compensation for all employees of the City of South Bend, Indiana represented by the Chauffeurs, Teamsters, and Helpers Local Union No. 364, affiliated with the International Brotherhood of Teamsters, Chaufeurs, Warehousemen and Helpers of America, hereinafter referred to as the "Teamsters Local Union No. 364," in the following operational units fo the City of South Bend: Bureau of Cemeteries Bureau of Building Maintenance Century Center (and Morris Civic) Department of Parks and Recreation Bureau of Sewers Bureau of Solid Waste Bureau of Streets Bureau of Traffic and Lighting Bureau of Waste Water Bureau of Water Works Division of Equipment Services Police Department SECTION II. For the calendar years 1990, 1991 and 1992 , maximum base salaries and wages for the following employees of the City of South Bend, Indiana, shall be no more than as listed below in this Section: Provided, however, that nothing herein shall exclude the applicability of Section III of this ordinance. WAGES AND COMPENSATION. All provisions of the Agreement between the City of South Bend, Indiana and the Teamsters Local Union No. 364, South Bend, Indiana, effective January 1, 1990 through December 31, 1992, concerning any issue of wages and/or compensation, including but not limited to, provisions concerning overtime, stand-by, call-back, shift differential, holidays, vacation and insurance are incorporated herein and made a part hereof as if set forth herein in their entirety. Two ( 2) copies of said Agreement are on file with and shall be made available for public inspection during normal business hours by the City Clerk, 4th Floor County-City Building, South Bend, Indiana. SECTION IV. LOCAL OPTION INCOME TAX. In the event that a Local Option Income Tax becomes effective and tax income from that Local Option Income Tax is received by the City of South Bend in 1991 and 1992 , each employee shall receive a Two Hundred Dollar ( $200. 00) increase to their base salary in 1992. SECTION V. BONUS. The first signing bonus shall be paid after the first regular payroll period after January 1, 1991. The signing bonus shall be Two Hundred Dollars ($200.00) and shall be paid to all active seniority employees covered hereunder. An additional bonus of Four Hundred Dollars ($400. 00) shall be paid after the first regular payroll period after January 1, 1992 and shall be paid to all active seniority employees covered hereunder. SECTION VI . This ordinance shall be in full force and effect from and after its passage by the Common Council and approval by the Mayor. SECTION II .
