AN ORDINANCE OF THE COMMON COUNCIL OF THE
CITY OF SOUTH, INDIANA APPROPRIATING
$25,000 FROM THE EMS CAPITAL IMPROVEMENT FUND
STATEMENT OF PURPOSE AND INTENT: Money available in the Emergency
Medical Services Capital Improvement Fund is now needed in order to
purchase cardiac heart monitors and to replace the boiler at Fire
Station #5.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COMMON COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
SOUTH BEND, INDIANA AS FOLLOWS:
SECTION I . The sum of $25,000. 00 is hereby appropriated from the
Emergency Medical Services Capital Improvement Fund No. 288 to be
administered by the Fire Department and distributed as set forth
below:
Account #429 $20,000. 00
Account #360 $ 5,000.00
TOTAL APPROPRIATION $25,000.00
SECTION II . This Ordinance shall be in full force and effect
from and after its passage by the Common Council and approval by the
Mayor.

Dear Council Members :
The attached bill is requesting an appropriation in the amount
of $25,000.00 from the Emergency .Medical Services Capital
Improvement Fund (Account # 288) . Recently, we have been
experiencing problems with two of our cardiac heart monitors .
We are requesting your approval of $20,000. 00 to purchase two
Physio Control Life Pack 10 cardiac heart monitors.
We are also in need of replacing the boiler at Fire Station #5
on Prairie Ave. The cost of this replacement has been estimated
at $5,000.00.
The funds are to be applied to the following accounts :
Account #429 $20,000.00
Account ##360 5,000. 00
TOTAL APPROPRIATION $25,000.00
