GAMMON Approved and signed by me March 2 9 19 9 0 L` `� Mayor ORDINANCE NO. 8082-90 AN ORDINANCE TRANSFERRING MONIES FROM ONE ACCOUNT TO ANOTHER ACCOUNT WITHIN THE DEPARTMENT OF ADMINISTRATION AND FINANCE IN THE GENERAL FUND OF THE CITY OF SOUTH BEND, INDIANA FOR THE YEAR 1990. STATEMENT OF PURPOSE AND INTENT: Unforeseen conditions have developed since the adoption of the existing budget which requires the transfer of monies from one account to another account within the Department of Administration and Finance. This transfer will allow the South Bend Common Council and the City Administration to provide partial funding for the St. Joseph County Strategic Planning Committee in order to support that Committee's efforts to facilitate community growth and progress. NOW, THEREFORE BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COMMON COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SOUTH BEND, INDIANA as follows: SECTION I. That the following accounts be adjusted as described below: GENERAL FUND CONTROLLER Increase the following account: 4399.00 Other Contractuals $ 15,500 $ 15,500 Decrease the following account: 4147. 00 Group Insurance $ 15,500 15,500 SECTION II . The Council further notes that this Ordinance shall be conditioned upon: (a) A presentation being provided to the Council outlining the proposed programs to be addressed by the St. Joseph County Strategic Planning Committee with this finding; and (b) That monies addressed herein shall not be spent by the City in the event that the other entities represented by the Committee do not pass appropriate funding ordinances or documents for this 1990 project. SECTION III. This represents South Bend' s share of the proposed $55,000 budget for 1990. This committee promises to serve a significant role in promoting better cooperation between the various governmental entities in our community. We believe that it is in the best interest of the City to actively participate in this process and request a favorable consideration by the Common Council. In the meantime I will be happy to answer any questions you or other members of the Common Council may have.
