S075"(710 AN ORDINANCE TRANSFERRING $627,312 AMONG VARIOUS ACCOUNTS WITHIN THE DEPARTMENT OF ECONOMIC DEVELOPMENT STATEMENT OF PURPOSE AND INTENT: In order to assure the efficient and timely utilization of Community Development Block Grant Funds and that the immediate needs of specific activities are met, transfers among accounts are necessary. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED by the Common Council of the City of South Bend, Indiana, as follows: SECTION I. The sum of $627,312 is hereby transferred among accounts as set forth below. Kolata Executive Director Deputy Executive Director February 13, 1990 South Bend Common Council Fourth Floor Council Chambers 400 County-City Building South Bend, IN 46601 Dear Council Member: The attached bill for your consideration and approval will reprogram $627, 312 in Community Development Block Grant funds into the following accounts. 1. $15, 000 for repairs to Hansel Center's day care facilities within the West Washington neighborhood. 2. $90, 000 for commercial development on Chapin Street to be carried out by South Bend Heritage Foundation. 3 . $50, 000 to assist in the acquisition of a new Women's Crisis Shelter through the Y.W.C.A. 4. $7, 000 to Community Development administration for contract with Historic Preservation for administrative services on historic property issues. 5. Transferring $50, 000 from Community Development administration into Bureau of Housing administration. 6.
