REDEVELOPMENT COMMISSION TO TAKE ACTION
ON FELLOWS STREET PROJECT
SOUTH BEND The South Bend Redevelopment Commission will take action on the
Fellows Street project at its scheduled morning meeting on Thursday.
The Department of Community Investment will submit a plan to the Commission that
keeps the integrity of the neighborhood intact, allows residents to keep their homes, saves
the taxpayers of South Bend millions of dollars, and will continue the free flow of
emergency response vehicles.
The recommendation before the Commission on Thursday is a modification of Plan C1
that does not cut off access to Fellows Street. The analysis behind the recommendation,
as well as the entire proposal, will be presented as the staff recommendation for this
project. All residents from the neighborhood are urged to attend.
The Thursday meeting will be held in the 4th Floor Council Chambers of the County-City
Building at 227 West Jefferson Boulevard. The meeting will begin at 9:30 a.m.
