GAMMON 0 Approved and signed by me IJiOTJ27T///- /3/ ig 9() Mayor , r. + SUBSTITUTE BILL NO. 94-90 ORDINANCE NO. a/51- 90 AN ORDINANCE OF THE COMMON COUNCIL FOR THE CITY OF SOUTH BEND, INDIANA , AMENDING CHAPTER 2 , ARTICLE 19, SECTION 2-213 OF THE SOUTH BEND MUNICIPAL CODE, COMMONLY REFERRED TO AS "SCHEDULE OF ORDINANCE AND CODE VIOLATIONS" STATEMENT OF PURPOSE AND INTENT Recent amendments to the South Bend Municipal Code providing penalties for violation of various provisions of the Code, and for payment of those penalties through the Ordinance Violations Bureau, necessitate amendment to Section 2-213 (a) of the South Bend Municipal Code, commonly known as the "Schedule of Ordinance and Code Violations. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COMMON COUNCIL FOR THE CITY OF SOUTH BEND, INDIANA, AS FOLLOWS: SECTION I. This Ordinance is being placed before the Council for consideration as one face of a multifaceted plan being undertaken by the City to make more efficient and self-supporting the downtown parking facilities operated by the City and to ensure the increased effectiveness of parking restrictions in effect within the City. The ordinance in question amends the schedule of violations payable through the Ordinance Violations Bureau to reflect the proposed increased fines for violating parking restrictions, as well as to include payment of fines for curfew violations.
