AN ORDINANCE APPROPRIATING $1 ,302 , 600 . 00 FROM THE
LOCAL ROAD AND STREET FUND FOR THE 1991 PUBLIC WORKS
PROGRAM AND REDUCING APPROPRIATIONS ON VARIOUS CLOSED
PROJECTS
STATEMENT OF PURPOSE AND INTENT:
In order to close completed projects , meet existing and proposed
traffic demands and to provide for safe and efficient movement of
vehicles , certain improvements are needed within the City of South Bend,
Indiana. New projects consist of #9101 - Paving & Slurry for fiscal year
1991 , #9102 - Various Improvements , #9103 - Corby Storm Sewer and #9104 -
Ironwood Appraisals . These funds are available from the Local Roads and
Streets Fund.
NOW THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COMMON COUNCIL
OF THE CITY OF SOUTH BEND, INDIANA.
Section I : The following sum of money is hereby appropriated
and ordered set apart from the Local Roads and Streets Fund for the
projects in the amount set forth below:

Add the following accounts :

Section II : This ordinance shall be in full force and effect
from and after its passage by the Common Council and approval by the
Mayor.

Dear Councilmen:
The attached is a proposed ordinance requesting an increase
and reduction in appropriations in the local roads and streets
fund. The primary purpose of this ordinance is to close out
completed projects and appropriate necessary funds for the 1991
Public Works Program.
The total reduction of appropriations on closed projects is
$184 , 217 . 00 . The total increased appropriations for the 1991
projects are $1,302 , 600 . 00 .
Your favorable consideration of this proposed ordinance is
requested. Should you have any questions regarding this appro-
priation request , please feel free to contact me.
