AN ORDINANCE APPROPRIATING $127,832
AMONG VARIOUS ACCOUNTS WITHIN THE
DEPARTMENT OF ECONOMIC DEVELOPMENT
STATEMENT OF PURPOSE AND INTENT:
In order to assure the efficient and timely utilization of
Community Development Block Grant Funds and that the immediate
needs of specific activities are met, transfers among accounts are
necessary.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED by the Common Council of the
City of South Bend, Indiana, as follows:
SECTION I. The sum of $127,832 is hereby appropriated to
accounts as set forth below.
Reduce the following accounts:

CD90-201 Code Enforcement Mgt & Inspection 5,322
CD90-202 Neighborhood Clean-Up Crew 9,416

CD89-1100 Community Development Administration 92
TOTAL $127,832
Increase the following accounts:

SECTION II. No costs will be incurred or funds expended for
any of the activities in this ordinance prior to an official
release of funds received from the United States Department of
Housing and Urban Development as may be required.
SECTION III. This ordinance shall be in full force and effect
from and after its passage by the Common Council and approval by
the Mayor.

Dear Council Member:
The attached bill for your consideration and approval will transfer
$127,832 of Community Development Block Grant Funds for the 1991
program year. This bill will transfer remainders from expired
projects into the following projects:
1) $22,832 for additional repairs to the homes in the 1991
Christmas in April effort.
2) $105, 000 for a Housing Development Fund to be used in
conjunction with the recommendations of the Mayor's Housing
Forum.
