As an aid to the acquisition process, additional survey services need to be performed to provide ROW staking, revisions of legal descriptions based on updated title commitments and preparation of area computation sheets. Wightman Petrie, the survey firm that prepared the original documentation, has presented a professional service proposal in the amount of $3,680.00 to provide these services. The five total right of way acquisitions are as follows: Parcel 1— Miami Street Pedestrian Connection Broadmoor Shopping Center Parcel - East side of Miami, North of Ireland Parcel 2 — Miami Street Pedestrian Connection JR Fox Jewelers Parcel - East side of Miami, North of Ireland Parcel 4 — Ireland & High Intersection Improvement Fitness USA Parcel - SE corner of High and Ireland Parcel 5 — Ireland & High Intersection Improvement Mutual Bank Parcel - SW corner of High and Ireland Parcel 6 — Fellows Street Intersection Improvement (in conjunction with the State of Indiana) Graber Group Parcel - NW corner of Fellows and Ireland Staff requests approval of the professional service proposal in the amount of $3,680.00. Per your email request on Wednesday, October 10, 2012 and our subsequent telephone conversation on Thursday, October 11, 2012, we are providing you with our estimate for performing the following tasks: Staking of new Right -of -Way: This includes the two parcels located in the northeast quadrant of Ireland Road and Miami Street, the two parcels located in the southeast and southwest quadrants of Ireland Road and High Street and the parcel located in the northwest quadrant of Ireland Road and Fellows Street ( Graber parcel). (Note: The Graber parcel can be staked once the proposed right -of -way location has been determined). Wooden stakes will be set at the proposed right -of -way locations and paint marks will be made on hard surfaces, such as concrete or asphalt where wooden stakes are not feasible. Review the title commitments (furnished by you) for the above - mentioned parcels and update the four parcel plats that have been prepared under a previous job no. Note. The Graber parcel has not yet been prepared. It is understood that once this proposed right -of -way location is approved, this parcel plat and legal description will be prepared. Prepare Area Computation sheets for the five parcels associated with this request. Burke Engineering RAN Layout and RAN Engineering October 12, 2012 Page 2 of 3 Work can begin upon receipt of a signed copy of this Proposal and will be completed within 14 calendar days, barring unforeseen delays, such as adverse weather conditions, to which you would be notified. Furthermore, submittal of the Graber parcel is contingent upon the approved location of the proposed right -of -way. Wightman Petrie's services will be billed monthly unless the amounts in any month are not significant. Our monthly statements will include additional charges for reimbursable expenses, such as postage and overnight transmittal costs, that we incur on your behalf. Payment is due upon receipt of our invoice and late charge of 1'/z % will be added to any unpaid balance after 30 days. Work will be suspended on any account which is 30 days past due until the account is paid in full. Should you have any questions or comments concerning our services or charges during the course of the work, please bring them to our attention immediately so that any problem can be resolved quickly.
