AN ORDINANCE APPROPRIATING $6,500.00 FROM THE
EMERGENCY MEDICAL SERVICES CAPITAL IMPROVEMENT
FUND TO FUND IMPROVEMENTS TO THE APPARATUS STORAGE
SPACE AT 701 WEST SAMPLE STREET, SOUTH BEND
STATEMENT OF PURPOSE AND INTENT: Monies available in the
Emergency Medical Services Capital Fund are now needed in order to
make improvements such as the installation of one ( 1) overhead door,
the installation of a wall, the relocation of an exhaust fan and
other miscellaneous projects in the apparatus storage space in the
former Equipment Services Body Shop at 701 West Sample Street.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COMMON COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF SOUTH BEND, INDIANA AS FOLLOWS:
SECTION I . The sum of $6,500. 00 is hereby appropriated from the
Emergency Medical Services Capital Improvement Fund No. 288 to be
used to fund certain improvements to the apparatus storage space in
the former Equipment Services Body Shop at 701 West Sample Street,
South Bend, including the installation of one ( 1) overhead door, the
installation of a wall, the relocation of an exhaust fan and other
miscellaneous project.
SECTION II . This Ordinance shall be in full force and effect
from and after its passage by the Common Council and approval by the
Mayor.

Dear Council Members:
Due to unforeseen circumstances, it has become necessary to
defray expenses within the Fire and E.M. S. budgets with an
appropriation of $6,500 from Fund #288, the Emergency Medical
Services Capital Improvement Fund.
This appropriation will cover the cost of the installation of
one ( 1) overhead door, installation of a wall, relocation of an
exhaust fan and some small miscellaneous projects .
This will allow the Fire Department to better utilize the
apparatus storage space in the old Equipment Services body shop.
