AN ORDINANCE OF THE COMMON COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SOUTH
BEND, INDIANA, AMENDING CHAPTER 2, ARTICLE 19, SECTION 2-213
ENTITLED "SCHEDULE OF ORDINANCE AND CODE VIOLATIONS"
STATEMENT OF PURPOSE AND INTENT
The Truck Route Ordinance passed by the Common Council in 1986
and subsequently amended in 1988, set forth a penalty provision of fifty
dollars ($50.00) for the first offense, one hundred dollars ($100.00) for the
second offense, and two hundred and fifty dollars ($250.00) for the third and
subsequent offenses.
In reviewing the Schedule of Ordinance and Code Violations set forth
in Section 2-213 of the Municipal Code, it was noted that the fifty dollar
($50.00) citation was not listed in such schedule.
The following Bill incorporates the fifty dollar ($50.00) Ordinance
violation, thereby permitting the Violations Clerk to receive payment for
such violations.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COMMON COUNCIL OF
THE CITY OF SOUTH BEND, INDIANA, as follows:
SECTION I. Chapter 2, Article 19, Section 213 (a) is amended in part by
the addition of the following:
Municipal Code Section Type of Violation Penalty
Section 20-109.7 Truck Route $50.00
SECTION II. This Ordinance shall be in full force and effect from and after its
adoption by the Common Council and approval by the Mayor.

Violations", which are collected by the Ordinance

First District listing was inadvertently omitted. The following Bill
Donald Niezgodski corrects by specifically listing this by appropriate
Second District Code Section, Type of Violation and Penalty.
