Health and Public Safety Committee
2005 South Bend Common Council
The February 14, 2005 meeting of the Health and Public Safety Committee was called to order
by its Chairperson, Council Member Karen L. White at 5:07 p.m. in the Council Informal
Meeting Room.
Persons in attendance included: Council Members Dieter, Pfeifer, Puzzello, Varner, Kuspa,
Rouse, and White; Citizen Member Isabel Gonzalez, City Clerk John Voorde, Rita Kopala and
Kathleen Cekanski-Farrand, Council Attorney.
• Council Member White noted that the Council has received a letter from the petitioner for Bill
No. 5-05 which would address the International Fire Code, requesting that the Bill be continued
to the February 28, 2005 Council meeting.
Council Member Rouse then made a motion, seconded by Citizen Member Isabel Gonzalez that
Bill No. 5-05 be continued to the February 28,2005 Council meeting. The motion passed.
There being no further business to come before the Committee, Council Member White
adjourned the meeting at 5:08 p.m.
