2005 South Bend Common Council
The August 22, 2005 Executive Session of the South Bend Common Council was called
to order by its President, Charlotte D. Pfeifer at 5:00 p.m. in the Council Informal Meeting
Room.
Persons in attendance included Council Members Pfeifer, Varner, Kirsits, Dieter, Kelly,
Puzzello, Kuspa, and Rouse; Mayor Stephen J. Luecke, City Controller M. Catherine Fanello,
City Attorney Charles S. Leone,Board of Public Safety's agent/negotiator; Police Chief Thomas
Fautz, Division Chief Rick Kilgore, Fire Chief Luther Taylor, Assistant Fire Chief Rick
Switalski,and attorney Kathleen Cekanski-Farrand,Council's agent/negotiator.
This is to certify that the only subject matter discussed at this Executive Session was that
contained in the meeting notice which was duly posted and called pursuant to Indiana Code
5-14-1.5-6.1(b)(2)(A) which addresses the discussion of strategy with regard to collective
bargaining with the representatives of the South Bend Fire Department and the South Bend
Police Department.
Council President Pfeifer adjourned the Executive Committee Meeting at 6:05 p.m.
