SPECIAL EVENTS COMMITTEE MEETING MINUTES
September 15, 2020, 10:00 AM
731 S. Lafayette Blvd, South Bend, IN 46601
Members present: Brad Rohrscheib, Gerard Ellis, Toy Villa
1. Call to Order
The meeting was called to order at 10:15 AM by President Rohrscheib.
2. Approval of minutes
Upon a motion by Rohrscheib and seconded by Villa the minutes from the previous
meeting September 1st was approved unanimously
3. Approval of Special Event Permits
a. DTSB Football Fridays – September 18th
Requesting to close Michigan from Washington to Jefferson from 11:00 AM to 11:00
PM. Will use similar closure of “First Fridays”. T/L will post no parking as well as close
area on Friday at 10:30 am. T/L will send someone to drain/pick up jersey walls at the
close of the event. Due to late submission by DTSB, Rohrscheib would like to have a
conversation w/ DTSB regarding this issue moving forward.
Upon a motion by Rohrscheib and seconded by Villa the permit was approved
unanimously
4. Other Business –
Rohrscheib mentioned that Riley High School would like to have their annual
homecoming parade on October 2nd, and he made them aware that the application
needed to be submitted prior to this meeting due to time constraints. At the time of the
meeting, the application had not yet been submitted.

2. Adjournment
With no additional business, Rohrscheib motioned for adjournment and Ellis
seconded. The meeting ended at 10:43 AM.
