GAMMON Approved and signed by me January 14 �9 9 2 Mayor ORDINANCE NO. n3 s-- �l AN ORDINANCE OF THE COMMON COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SOUTH BEND, INDIANA APPROPRIATING $260,000. 00 FROM THE CUMULATIVE SEWER BUILDING AND SINKING FUND STATEMENT OF PURPOSE AND INTENT The South Bend Redevelopment Commission, on November 22, 1991, adopted Resolution No. 1028 reimbursing the City' s Cumulative Sewer Building and Sinking Fund for costs incurred in constructing infra-structure improvements within the Rum Village Industrial Park. The funds used to reimburse the Cumulative Sewer Fund resulted from tax increment revenues to the Commission attributable to the Rum Village Industrial Park area. The City has determined that it is in the best interests of the City and of its citizens to appropriate the reimbursed funds for activities aimed at reducing the flooding problems associated with Bowman Creek and the area near Chippewa Street, all in the City of South Bend. It is contemplated that the appropriated funds would be used for widening Bowman Creek and for design work to improve drainage in the Chippewa Street area. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COMMON COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SOUTH BEND AS FOLLOWS: Section I . That the indicated sums of money be, and hereby are, appropriated and ordered set apart within the Cumulative Sewer Building and Sinking Fund, as set forth below: Account No. Title Amount 409.0611.432. 4242 Bowman Creek Design/ $236,000.00 Construction 409.0611.452.4243 Chippewa Basin Design $ 24,000.00 Section II .
