AN ORDINANCE OF THE COMMON COUNCIL OF SOUTH BEND, INDIANA
APPROPRIATING $225,000 RECEIVED FROM THE U. S. DEPARTMENT OF JUSTICE
FOR THE WEED & SEED PROGRAM
STATEMENT OF PURPOSE AND INTENT:
In order to deliver services to individuals within our community, the City of South Bend
received funds from the U.S. Department of Justice the delivery of such services through various
subgrantees. The funds appropriated in this ordinance will aid in defraying the costs of
programming within the designated Weed & Seed neighborhood(s).
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED by the Common Council of the City of South
Bend, Indiana:
Section I. The sum of $225,000 is hereby appropriated within Fund 212 for use under the
guidelines of the Weed & Seed program.
Section II. This ordinance shall be in full force and effect from and after its passage by the
Common Council and approval by the Mayor.
