The roof has been disintegrating for years and partially collapsed in recent rains. It will need to be rebuilt and will be constructed to exactly match the existing roof with one exception: We will increase the pitch of the roof slightly in order for water to drain from it. Several handymen have warned me that it is currently too flat, which is why the water had been pooling on it. There is more than enough bare wall over the porch to accommodate this change. No part of this will significantly alter the current historical look of the porch. It will be painted to match its current state. Entire project will be done in wood. Photographs are below and I’ve attached the estimate to this email as well.
