AN ORDINANCE APPROPRIATING $123, 000 TO
AN ACCOUNT WITHIN THE DEPARTMENT
OF ECONOMIC DEVELOPMENT
STATEMENT OF PURPOSE AND INTENT:
In order to assure the efficient and timely utilization of
Urban Development Action Grant Reimbursement Funds and to further
the redevelopment activity of the East Bank Area, certain
appropriations are necessary.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED by the Common Council of the
City of South Bend, Indiana:
SECTION I. The sum of $123, 000 is hereby appropriated to the
account as set forth below within Fund 410.
Description Amount
Acquisition Fund $123, 000
SECTION II. This ordinance shall be in full force and effect
from and after its passage by the Common Council and approval by
the Mayor.

Dear Council Member:
The attached bill for your consideration and approval will
appropriate $123, 000 in Urban Development Action Grant
Reimbursement Funds.
This action will give us a total of $343, 000 to be used to
acquire Parcel E3-1, property commonly referred to as the
Opelika Building in the East Bank portion of the South Bend
Central Development Area.
