Rhyming 101 Class lab project Writing introduction • This exercise is to slowly introduce students, and staff to one another • Subject matter • Talking points • Expression • Details • We will be focusing only on the aspects of music writing theory for the weeks to follow. Students will learn how to properly structure a rhyme and then sequence students will write a short story using a keyword (Depending on age group of class, students will be required to use school/English vocabulary words.) v 5 2020 Day 2 5-10min 15 min icebreaker Rhyming game Song/Verse construction How to construct a song Class LAB • What’s a verse? • Verse construction • Bar counting • What’s a hook/bridge • Write verse • Students will learn the rules of tempo, speech pronunciation, & rhythm, by following the metronome.
