AN ORDINANCE. OF THE COMMON COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
SOUTH BEND, INDIANA, APPROPRIATING $5,600.00 FROM
HAZ-MAT FUND #289 FOR THE PURCHASE OF EQUIPMENT
STATEMENT OF PURPOSE AND INTENT
Due to unforeseen circumstances, it has become necessary to
defray expenses within the Fire Department budget with an
appropriation of Five Thousand. Six Hundred Dollars ($5,600.00) from
Haz-Mat Fund #289 which sum shall be used to purchase certain
equipment necessary to the operation of the Fire Department's Haz-Mat.
operations.
The City has continued to generate increased revenue from the.
E.M.S. Bureau to support the capital needs of both the Fire.
Department and E.M.S. This appropriation has been included in our
projections as well as our five-year Capital Improvement plan.
NOW, THEREFORE.,. BE. IT ORDAINED BY THE COMMON COUNCIL OF THE. CITY
OF SOUTH BEND, INDIANA AS FOLLOWS:
Section I. The following sum of money is hereby appropriated and
ordered set apart from Haz-Mat Fund #289 for the items set forth
below:

Dear Mr. Luecke:

I am attaching for filing an ordinance appropriating $5,600.00
within Haz-Mat. Fund #289 for the purchase of certain equipment
identified in the ordinance. The equipment in question is equipment
previously identified in the Fire Department's five-year Capital
Improvement plan as being necessary to the Department' s operations.
The favorable consideration of the Council is respectfully
requested.
