South Bend Water Works John E Stancati, Director September 4, 1992 South Bend Common Council 4th Floor, County-City Building South Bend, Indiana 46601 Attention: Mr. Steve Luecke, President Mr. Tom Zakrzewski, Chairman Utilities Committee Re : Sewer Leak Insurance Dear Councilmen: We are requesting a rate increase in the sewer leak insurance program. The increase is from fifty cents ($0. 50) to seventy-one cents ($0. 71 ) per month. The increase in the charge has been recommended by our consultant, Municipal Consultants of Indiana. The increase is needed as a result of an increase over the years in number of repairs and cost of each repair. The program has served its purpose well by protecting the homeowner from exorbitant repair bills. Your favorable consideration is requested. Sincerely, John F.
