Lafayette Blvd, South Bend, IN 46601 Members present: Brad Rohrscheib, Darwin Shipley, Gerard Ellis 1. Call to Order The meeting was called to order at 11:01 AM by President Rohrscheib. 2. Approval of minutes Upon a motion by Rohrscheib and seconded by Shipley the minutes from the previous meeting August 18th was approved unanimously 3. Approval of Special Event Permits a. Jeremy’s Ride – September 6th A ride to honor the fire fighter killed earlier this year. Mishawaka PD, South Bend PD, as well as South Bend Fire will assist with all closures for this ride. The committee agreed to waive the application fee. Registration starts at 10:00 AM and ride begins at 12:00 PM. Ride takes off at Meijer on 331. Travels to New Rd, right to 31, 31 to St. Rd 6, turns right onto St. Rd 23 to Crumstown Highway, stays straight onto Sample & Eddy, turns right onto Colfax, left onto Jacob, right onto McKinley which will then stop in the school parking lot across from Jeremy’s firehouse for a moment of silence/pray. Route will resume McKinley to Main St in Mishawaka, turns right and will end at Jefferson at VFW. Upon a motion by Rohrscheib and seconded by Shipley the permit was approved unanimously 4. Other Business – Amend the agenda to add two new events – DTSB October/November First Fridays. Page | 2 a. October First Fridays – October 2nd Using the same closure as (September First Fridays). Michigan St from Wayne to Jefferson. T/L will post no parking 24 hours in advance. Closure will occur 12:00 PM to 11:30 PM. T/L will drain jersey walls at the end of event. Upon a motion by Rohrscheib and seconded by Ellis the permit was approved unanimously b. November First Fridays – November 6th Using the same closure as (September First Fridays). Adjournment With no additional business, Rohrscheib motioned for adjournment and Shipley seconded. The meeting ended at 11:12 AM.
