Subject: Community Rally at Howard Park

Members of the South Bend Common Council are partnering with Head
Coach Niele Ivey, Notre Dame Women’s Basketball Team, School City of
Mishawaka, the South Bend Community School Corporation, The City of
South Bend Mayor’s Office, Venues, Parks, & Arts and many others to
sponsor a Community Rally to provide backpacks, masks and sanitizer to
elementary school students.
The Community Rally at Howard Park will take place on Saturday, August 1,
2020, at Howard Park located at 2019 S. St. Louis, Blvd, South Bend, IN
46601 from 11:00 a.m. until 3:00 p.m. This initiative is an effort to provide
parents and students with safety resources and school supplies for the 2020-
2021 school year. Boomer will be present to provide music and an ultimate
outdoor experience.
Venues, Parks, & Arts will design social distancing markers. We are
committed to taking all necessary precautions to provide a safe and fun
environment for everyone. Masks are required for everyone over the age of
two (2) years old. Please be sure to always practice distancing and wear a
mask when appropriate.
