AN ORDINANCE TRANSFERRING $23, 000 WITHIN ACCOUNTS WITHIN
THE U.D.A.G. FUND OF THE DEPARTMENT OF ECONOMIC
DEVELOPMENT FOR THE PURPOSE OF ACQUIRING REAL PROPERTY
Statement of Purpose and Intent:
In order to assure the efficient and timely utilization of
Urban Development Action Grant Reimbursement Funds and to further
the Redevelopment activity of the East Bank Area, certain transfers
are necessary.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED by the Common Council of the
City of South Bend, Indiana, as follows:
SECTION I. The sum of $23, 000 is hereby transferred among
accounts within Fund 410 as follows:
Reduce the following:
Description Amount
Colfax Theatre (Acct # 410 . 1002 .460.39 . 82) $23, 000
Increase the following:
Description Amount
Acquisition Fund (Acct # 410.1002 .460 .41.01) $23, 000
SECTION II. This Ordinance shall be in full force and effect
from and after its passage by the Common Council and approval by
the Mayor.

Dear Council Member:
The attached bill for your consideration and approval will transfer
$23, 000 from the Colfax Theatre demolition account into the
Acquisition Fund. This action will give us a total of $366, 000 to
be used to acquire the Opelika Building. This amount represents
the purchase price as determined by the Court.
