Jones, Graham Sparks, Bob Palmer, Bianca Tirado Presenters: Rachel Tomas Morgan Agenda: Bill No. 20-05- Resolution Continuing Declaration of Local Disaster Emergency Committee Chair Troy Warner called to order the Health and Public Safety Committee meeting at 6:30 p.m. He then asked if there was a presenter for this bill and proceeded to give the floor to the presenter Bill No. 20-05- Resolution Continuing Declaration of Local Disaster Emergency Councilmember Rachel Tomas Morgan, 114 Chapin St., South Bend, IN, served as the presenter for this bill. Council Member Thomas Morgan highlighted the key elements of this bill and asked for the bill to receive favorable consideration. Committee Chair Warner opened the floor for questions and comments from the Committee and Council Members. Councilmember Tim Scott proceeded to ask a question about the timeline making sense for this this bill and if the council should change the language. Council Attorney Bob Palmer answered Council Member Scott's question. Committee Chair Warner asked if there were any other questions or comments from the Committee and Council Members. There were none. There were none. Committeemember Sheila Niezgodski made a motion to send Bill No. 20-05 to the full Council with a favorable recommendation. Committeemember Sharon L. McBride seconded the motion which carried by voice vote of four(4) ayes.
