AN ORDINANCE OF THE COMMON COUNCIL OF THE
CITY OF SOUTH BEND APPROPRIATING $130,000. 00 FROM THE
UDAG FUND TO BE USED TO DEFRAY ADMINISTRATIVE EXPENSES
OF THE DEPARTMENT OF ECONOMIC DEVELOPMENT OF THE
CITY OF SOUTH BEND
STATEMENT OF PURPOSE AND INTENT:
Certain funds representing repayment of a UDAG loan are on
deposit in the City' s UDAG Fund ( #410) . In order to defray
administrative expenses of the Department of Economic Development of
the City of South Bend, and in order to assure the efficient and
timely utilization of such funds the Common Council has determined it
necessary to appropriate such funds for such purpose.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED by the Common Council of the City
of South Bend, Indiana, as follows:
SECTION I . The sum of $130,000.00 is hereby appropriated from
UDAG Fund ( #410) to be paid to the Department of Economic Development
(Fund #212) for use in its administration budget.
SECTION II. Thiss ordinance shall be in full force and effect
from and after its passage by the Common Council and approval by the
Mayor.

The attached bill for your consideration and approval will appropriate
$130, 000 in funds received from One Michiana Square' s repayment on
their UDAG loan. The funds will be utilized in the Department of
Economic Development administration budget as discussed in the budget
meetings earlier this year.
