Home My WebLink About5B1 Resolution No. 3520 (Amending Bylaws) RESOLUTION NO. 3520 A RESOLUTION OF THE SOUTH BEND REDEVELOPMENT COMMISSION AMENDING BY-LAWS WHEREAS, the South Bend Redevelopment Commission (the “Commission”) is the governing body of the City of South Bend, Indiana (the “City”), Department of Redevelopment and exists and operates pursuant to Indiana Code Section 36-7-14 (the "Act"); and WHEREAS, at its meeting on July 16, 2015, the Commission adopted certain Amended and Restated By-Laws (the "By-Laws"); and WHEREAS, pursuant to Indiana Code Section 36-7-14-8(b), the City's Controller is the Treasurer of the Commission; and WHEREAS, the Commission desires to amend Article V, Section 3 of its By-Laws to allow the Treasurer to make disbursements for the payment of certain claims prior to the Commission's approval of said disbursement, in accordance with Indiana Code Section 36-7-14- 8(c); and WHEREAS, recent changes to the Act necessitate additional amendments to the By- Laws, particularly with regard to the membership of the Commission as set forth in Article II, Section 1 and the conduct of meetings as set forth in Article IV, Section 2; and WHEREAS, the revised By-Laws are attached hereto and shall be made effective upon the affirmative vote of at least four (4) members of the Commission, pursuant to Article VI, Section 1 thereof. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE SOUTH BEND REDEVELOPMENT COMMISSION AS FOLLOWS: 1. The Commission hereby adopts the revised By-Laws as attached hereto. 2. This Resolution will be in full force and effect upon its adoption by the Commission.
