A. River West Development Area
1. Agreement to Buy and Sell Real Estate (603 Marion)
Mr. Relos presented an Agreement to Buy and Sell Real Estate (603 Marion). This
is a target area where Marion comes out to Lincoln Way West. This is the
Northwest corner of Leland and Marion just north of Lincolnway West. The City
owns all the property on that island and several adjacent lots. Andrew Netter in
the Department of Community Investment office has done a great job obtaining
these parcels. In February the Commission approved a Resolution that declared
the parcel vacant and blighted as it is severely overgrown. This allowed us to
move forward with the acquisition. The price for the parcel is $1,000. Commission
approval is requested.
Upon a motion by Commissioner Teshka, seconded by Secretary Phillips, the
motion carried unanimously, the Commission approved Agreement to Buy and
Sell Real Estate (603 Marion) submitted on Thursday, June 11, 2020.

by state statue to determine whether it is going to collect taxes in their areas. This
notice will confirm we are capturing tax including Douglas Road for updates in the
areas. Commission approval is requested.
