SPECIAL EVENTS COMMITTEE MEETING MINUTES
June 2, 2020, 10:00 AM
731 S. Lafayette Blvd, South Bend, IN 46601
Members present: Brad Rohrscheib Toy Villa, Gerard Ellis, Darwin Shipley
1. Call to Order
The meeting was called to order at 10:05 AM by President Rohrscheib.
2. Approval of minutes
Upon a motion by Rohrscheib and seconded by Villa the minutes from the previous
meeting May 19th was approved unanimously
3. Approval of Special Event Permits
a. Rebel Art Fest – August 9th
Had last year with no issues. T/L will drop cones, and they will set up closure 9:00 AM to
10:00 P.M. Wall St: Potawatomi entrance to Greenlawn will be closed off so pedestrians
can safely cross into Park. The event will take place inside the park and they are working
with VPA.
Upon a motion by Rohrscheib and seconded by Villa the permit was approved
unanimously
4. Other Business –
Bacon Around the Bend – Construction start times are still uncertain and we are
waiting to get a better clarification on when construction to East Bank Trail will begin
from contractor. Will revisit this when we have a time schedule.

2. Adjournment
With no additional business, Rohrscheib motioned for adjournment and Shipley
seconded. The meeting ended at 10:27 AM.
