Public Library Construction Dear Mr. Burris: The Board of Public Works, at its meeting held on June 9, 2020, approved the Long -Term Occupancy Permit for work being done at 304 S. Main St. This permit will be valid from June 16, 2020 to June 16, 2021. The approval is subject to moving your fencing out of the bike lanes and a revised drawing submitted to the Board showing the blocking of all parking on Wayne Street. We currently have a permit for the closure of the sidewalk and the parking lane (5 spots) on Wayne Street from Main Street to Michigan Street (Occupancy Permit No. 4187; attached). This is a short-term permit which expires on June 16, 2020. For public safety reasons, during the duration of the project, we need to extend this to a long-term permit through June 16, 2021. We are requesting that the long-term permit be for the same closures as the current permit on Wayne Street. We have attached the Application for the Long -Term Occupancy Permit, and a drawing showing the affected area for the permit.
