Dear Mr. Lowe:
The Board of Public Works, at its meeting on May 12, 2020, approved the Application for a Sidewalk Café Permit
outside your establishment at 216 S. Michigan St. on Monday to Thursday 11:30 a.m. to 10:00 p.m.; Friday and
Saturday 11:30 a.m. to 12:00 a.m.; Sunday 11:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m. subject to the new layout you provided showing
Fire Department access to their hose hookup and working with DTSB on safety measures taken to address the
trip hazard of the wood supports; and subject to the St
the COVID situation found at https://backontrack.in.gov/industryguidelines.htm. including that tables be at least
clearance.
This permit is for the set-up of the café only; the regulations for the serving of food and alcohol are outside the
Enclosed please find a copy of the Agreement for you records. Please be reminded that the sidewalk café permit
is only good between April 1 and October 31, 2020. Also, please be aware that the Sidewalk Café Application
and the Agreement must be applied for annually.
