She asked that the item be tabled indefinitely. There no objections and item 5.a. was tab ed indefinitely. Mrs Kolata noted that the staff has received a counter offer of $10,000 fran Watford for parcel 13 -8 (1306 S. Maim Street) . The staff reccmlends acc tincr the offer. Upcxl a motion by Mr. Piasecki, seconded COMMSSION APPROVED THE COUNTER by Mr. Carobs and unanimously carried, the OFFER OF $10,000 FOR PARCEL 13 -8 Cannission approved the counter offer of IN THE STUDEBAKER CORRIDOR $10,000 for parcel 13 -8 in the Studebaker DEVELORYMT AREA Con idor Developnent Area. Mrs Kolata noted that Resolution No. 1006 states that the City spent $1,603,714.33 of UDAG funds in public imp is connected with the New Energy plant. We have been using tax increment from the Rum Village Industrial Par to reimburse the UDAG fund. Preirious resolutions have approved those reirbursements. Mrs. Kolata noted that this will be the last reimbursement to the UDAG fund because this reimbursement of $208,527.33 completes the reirbursement of those expenses. -3- South Bend. Regular Me 6. Mrs Kolata noted that Resolution No. 1007 establishes the offering price for 12 acquisitions in the Studebaker Corfidor and authorizes the staff to send purimse offers. It also authorizes the use of eminent domain proceedings if a t cannot be reached on the rurchase offers. Upai a motion by Mr. Faccenda, seconded by Mr. Piasecki and unanimously carried, the Camiission approved the use of the Morris Civic Plaza on July 17, 1991. Mrs. Ko ata reported that additional envi tal testing is underway in the Transwe tern Building. Mrs. Ko ata also reported that the demolition contrac has been awarded for seventeen houses in the Studebaker Corridor. Thirteen of those houses required asbestos removal before dewlition and that work has begun.
