Asummaryof the bidsis below: Ziolkowski Construction, Slatile Roofing and Sheet Bokon Masonry Inc. Inc. Metal Co., Inc. Base Bid$305,000.00$372,900.00$419,293.00 Upon review of the bid packages provided, none of the three bidders completed all the required documentation to comply with the Indiana state code and City of South Bend ordinances. The MWBE good faith effort form was not filled out properly in all three circumstances. As such, in accordance with legal counsel’s opinion, all three bids were rejected as non-responsive. Since this bid rejection occurred, new information about data in the City’s disparity study has come to light. As a result, the City will not require or set contract goals on this project. Based on the new information that has come to light regarding the disparity study, Engineering respectfully requests that the Board rescind its rejection of all bids and recommends the award of a contract for $305,000.00to the lowest responsive / responsible bidder, Slatile Roofing and Sheet Metal Co., Inc. Slatilehas submitted the necessary paperwork to become pre-qualified and has submitted an acknowledgment of all addendums. Sufficient funds from RW TIF (324-1050-460-42.02) have been appropriated.
